Jill Gurvey
Senior Analyst


Jill Gurvey Jill Gurvey is a Senior Analyst at OMG, providing technical assistance and oversight to quantitative components of evaluation and research projects. She is currently supervising analyses on two projects that aim to increase college access: the Knight Foundation's College Access Systems and the Citi Foundation's College Access and Success program. Both are multi-city, multi-year initiatives that involve large administrative education databases. She also leads OMG's Quantitative Data Group and consults across projects with survey review and analysis planning.

Jill comes to OMG most recently from Mathematica Policy Research (MPR) in Princeton, NJ, where she was a Systems Analyst for their health group. At MPR she worked on federally funded projects that examined the cost-effectiveness of a variety of programs in Medicare and Medicaid, such as Medicaid Buy-In (MBI), as well as Medicaid-financed nursing home stays and home and community based care, funded by the Assistant Secretary of Planning and Evaluation in the Department of Health and Human Services. Prior to her work at MPR, she was at the RAND Corporation in Santa Monica, CA, where she was a Research Programmer in Health. She has served as a consultant with research teams at Johns Hopkins and Harvard Universities, and was a long-time employee of the University of California at San Francisco in the Department of Pediatrics.

Jill holds a B.A. in psychology from the University of Michigan and has a Master's degree in Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of California at Berkeley.
