Emily Byrne
Project Manager


Emily Byrne Emily Byrne has a background in public sector management consulting and evaluation. Her work has dealt primarily with organizational strategy and governance structures at nonprofits and government organizations.

Emily is currently on teams of three OMG evaluation projects: evaluation training of grantees of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Ford Foundation's Arts Education Initiative that aims to advance the arts as a dimension of quality education for all children, and the Center for Economic Development's Innovations in Manufactured Homes Initiative.

Prior to joining OMG, Emily was a management consultant for Grant Thornton Global Public Sector Consulting. In this position, she provided organizational evaluations and performance management support to a number of federal agencies such as NASA and the Installation Management Agency. She was previously employed at the Government Accountability Office where she evaluated publicly funded programs that provided financial assistance to low-income families, including an Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) education initiative and several grassroots volunteer tax assistance programs. Additionally, she worked for two years as a research assistant to a nonprofit administration scholar where she focused on service learning program outcomes as well as the role of religion in community building.

Emily holds a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Georgia and a B.A. in English from Davidson College.
