Edith Arrington
Project Manager
Edith G. Arrington is a project manager at OMG, where she is serving as Deputy Director of New Connections: Increasing Diversity of RWJF Programming, a national program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. New Connections aims to increase the diversity of perspectives informing RWJF programming by providing research funding and career development opportunities to researchers and evaluators from historically underrepresented groups.
Before joining OMG in 2009, Edith was the research associate for the New Connections program at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Prior to her work at RWJF, Edith worked as a licensed psychologist and freelance writer. Edith has also worked directly with diverse students in public and independent schools, in the area of recruitment and retention of diverse faculty in independent schools, and as a postdoctoral research fellow and lecturer. Her general research, consulting, and writing interests are in the areas of race, identity, and diversity; personal and leadership development; and well-being for youth and adults across critical contexts.
Edith graduated with an A.B. in Psychology and Sociology from Duke University. She holds a Master's degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia as well as a Ph.D. in School, Community, and Clinical Child Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education.
